Follow Globals--ugh

what is the status of the "Follow Globals" bug (feature??), where solo is not set by default to be ON in a group.

hate to jump in here...but can you explain this a little more? Are you talking about the FOllow Globals in the Grouping window? What's the problem?

Defaults to off (Plus solos off), first time grouping in new sessions for many users.

Seems to have started with 7.4.2. Or maybe not. But definitely one of the two!! I kept thinking some nimrod was changing my prefs, but I don't think there are any prefs for this.

It happends to me when my session is opened with 7.4 LE and when I open it back in 7.3 HD.

Hey folks,

for all of you having problems with the solos close pro tools, go to your user preferences and delete all pro tools prefs. This fixes the solos default to be on!!

It worked on both HD8 and LE8, were wasn't happening before!
For some reason the initial prefs need to be deleted if there was another version of pro tools previously on the system it seems.. not sure if it is the same on a fresh instal but deleting prefs solved the problem here!!
