Default Hi!

Hi Fellow Users,

New user here.

Currently Studying Music Production and Engineering in Singapore.

Hope to learn more and have some questions answered here in this web!(:

Want to start free lance, comfortable with pop genres. Want to experiment and learn with rock genres though!

Intend to future studies at Full Sail in a few years time after completing my army in 2.5 years time?

HI EVERYONE!!!!

First off, thank you for your service! The web is a huge source of info(not all of it accurate, but you can sift thru it anyway). Youtube is chock full of audio tips and that ranks high on my list of recommended sources. Even if you are only interested in the recording side, there is still much to be learned on the "live" side of audio, so maybe tap into any live audio that may happen on your base.(even if its just some guys that play music once a month). What you get from all these sources(especially Full Sail) depends entirely on you, your thirst for knowledge, your dedication to the craft...and so forth(I have seen FS grads that were worthless, and I have seen grads that are very talented). Talent isn't taught, its what you do with the knowledge you learn

Welcome to the forum prodigy_ed. The forum has a large base of very talented and knowledgeable users. Just start asking away and definitely use some of the resources that albee1952 mentioned above.

Hi Albee1952. Totally agree with what you said. Talent isn't taught. Many things that happen for people are all through hard-work involved and also the hunger they have to hone their craft.

And yeah! I'm also working in the live audio scenes to learn from people in the industry. Boy I gotta say... Digoco SD7 board is crazily flexible and awesome to use.

Hi Shan and jay_uk!
Nice to meet you guys too.

How long have you guys been in the industry?

My first "real" PA was a Shure Vocalmaster(bought brand new) so do the math(and keep it to yourself). First studio experience was an APSI(or some other oddity) console feeding a 2" 16 track(Dimension Sound, Boston, MA). I think the monitors were Altec Big Red's.......My how stuff has changed

I thought your real name, "albee1992", gave it all away?
