Default Punch In Recording with 11R?

I'm used to punching in to record while playing guitar with my 002R via a simple latch footswitch. Is there any way to do this with the 11R? Seems like the footswitch jack on the 11R only controls Rig parameters, and it doesn't seem like this would be possible with a Midi controller, either.

The only other thing I can think of to use is some kind of USB dictation-type footswitch that sends keyboard commands (space bar, etc.).

Any thoughts?

Interesting! Is there any way you could explain how you have this setup?

Is there a published Pro Tools Midi CC that you referenced?

Thanks! That looks like a great option. I read your posts and checked out the FBV user guide. Looks like that will work for me.
