Upgrading the Macbook Pro
Hi. I have a MacBook Pro (13-inch, Early 2011) Laptop. The Processor is 2.3 GHz Core i5, RAM 4 GB and the HDD is 320 GB.
I use: 1. Digi 003 (Through Firewire) 2. Apogee Symphony (VIA USB) Sorry if the introduction isn't interesting, but i needed to provide the existing scenario and usage of the device. I am looking to upgrade the HDD into 120 or 256 Gb SSD drive and get 16 GB RAM. I am also considering to use an external casing for the DVD drive, and intall the existing HDD there. I am looking into OWC devices and Crucial devices. Please suggest me which company i choose for the RAM and the SSD, i need speed but not at the expense of stability. Thanks |

Re: Upgrading the Macbook Pro
OWC and Crucial are both great companies, but if I had to pick one, it'd be OWC. I've bought from both and had no problems at all with HD's or RAM, but with OWC you get all the tools you need to install your drive and can add an external enclosure for your old one for about $10.
