Pro Tools First file compatibility - MP 9
Dear people who know more than me,
I have a version of Pro Tools MP9 that I use to create contenders for the title of “worst rock songs ever written”. If my far more talented and less tone deaf colleague installs Pro Tools First, will any files I send to him to try and turn in to something less painful created on my MP9 be playable on his version of First? Files will include Toontrack midi drum patterns too just to complicate matters further. |

Re: Pro Tools First file compatibility - MP 9
Nope. Pro Tools First is useless crippleware here.
It cannot open any Pro Tools sessions, it only works with Cloud “Projects”, and cannot use any Toontrack plugins, it only works with add on plugins purchased from the Avid online store (and Toontracks are smart enough to not play that game). |

Thanks Darryl, I suspected as much. In that case, I’ll carry on with my quest to apologise to each and every person in advance on the off chance they encounter one of my non-rescued tracks...
