Default win7 VCA bug in pro tools 10.3.7

Hullo there,

I recently moved over from a macintosh to the pc world. I never had this bugs on my powerbook. The problem or the bug is as follows:

I have a VCA master for a bunch of audio tracks, lets say for drums. I set the leves of the individual slave drum tracks. After that I start to automate the drums using the VCA master during my session.

While listning back my automation, I realize I need more of one slave track, lets say snare, during my chorus.

So I selct the chorus in the edit window and switch on Dynamic Transport. I hit play and move up the snare track a little bit to the level where it sits right. When I have found my level I hit the manual "write to all" button in the automation window.

Then the mess starts. Instead of writing a straight line with my new level over my selction on the snare track, the VCA Automation from the VCA master and my new is coalesced to the snare track.

So I have suddenly all my moves and breakpoints from the VCA master also on my snare track. This snare track is still a slave to my VCA master. So I have the same automation and breakpoints doubled on this track. All of sudden, the level of the snare is now moving twice as much as it should.

If I do exact the same thing as described above, but my slave tracks are in trim mode and i do the level changes by using trim, all is as it should.

Has anyone else experienced this bizarre behaving?

here is kind of a sandra report. (it's from a belarc report, almost the same info, but belarc is free)

Plenty of VCA's in my sessions but never any of this sort of issue. Maybe its due to my different workflow. If i need to adjust a track in a group, I suspend the group, adjust the volume with the mouse(showing the volume lane) and then re-enable the group.
