Presonus Faderport Installation in Pro Tools 9

I just got a Presonus Faderport and like many others online I am having trouble installing it as a HUI device in Pro Tools. I have a 27" iMac running OSX Lion 10.7.2 and Pro Tools 9.0.5. I have installed the latest drivers (version 1.3.5) from Presonus and followed the instructions to open Peripherals, MIDI controllers, and under Type, where it should say HUI, mine simply says None and as a result I cannot add my device. Any suggestions would be helpful. I have tried other USB ports, re-updated the driver, restarted the computer and Pro Tools multiple times all to no avail.

The "Type" option is a pull down list, you are saying you can not pull down the type of HUI? It should contain a list; Command8, Motormix, Surround Panner, etc.... Your Faderport should show up in the "Receive From" and "Send To" pull down lists.

Does the Faderport show up in AudioMidi setup under MIDI Studio?

bradch00 thanks for your response. i cannot pull down the option of HUI, when i click on type the only option that is presented is "none" and no it does not show up in the received from/send to options either (they are grayed out). Also the Faderport does not show up in the MIDI Studio window. When plugged in, the only light on the Faderport that lights up is the STOP button. Any other thoughts/ideas?
