Default Xpand2 Help!

Everytime I use mini grand,Boom, Vacuum, I get audio. They are easy to load the presets, but Xpand2, WTF! I load a preset and cant get nothing out of it. Im doing everything right. Nothing is muted, record enable is set, but I cant seem to get to hear anything. Can anyone help?

So, If you make a new session, add a stereo instrument track, insert xpand..

What exactly happens? Do you get a MIDI input to the track? (View>Mix window views... Instruments needs to be checked to see the MIDI meter)

Do either of the meters move?

Are you trying to choose presets from the 4 channels in Xpand or from the usual preset list in the top of the plugin display?

When I make a new session, nothing happens. I create a Instrument track, add Xpand2, arm it, nothing happens. Usually when you add something like Boom, its the Factory preset. So when I hit my Axiom keyboard, I get whats on the plugin. None of the meters move when I do the exact same thing when loading Xpand2. I will even create a MIDI track just to fool around. When I do that I get meters on my MIDI track. But Xpand2, I have no idea what to do. It should be easy, Load the plug in, pick a preset and hit my keys. I should hear something. How do I use Xpand2??? Or better yet, How can I preview the presets?

When I create a new instance of Xpand2, the plug loads with <factory default> in the preset display and the first slot has "001 Bright Pads - Beneath the Waves+" loaded. I would assume that is the standard factory default because i have never done anything to change the default..

If you click on the Librarian Menu (right beneath the Preset heading) do you see these choices?:

01 Soft Pads
02 Bright Pads
03 Huge Pads
etc..

If not then maybe you're not pointed at the default settings folder..

Click on the Presets Settings menu (little triangle next to "Preset") then choose

Settings Preferences>Set Root Settings Folder...

The folder that you should choose is

<Mac HD>/Library/Application Support/Digidesign/Plug-in Settings

Edit... Hey KB.. Already workin' on em, eh?

You can't. Both those plugins are "sealed", no loading or exporting.
