Default Owners of Original Mbox can't crossgrade to PT9?

Really? Have I got it wrong? Can we crossgrade to 8.04?? I need to change from XP to Win7, so been researching the cheapest way to make this happen...which seems unlikely as they arbitrarily made mbox 1 incompatible with new systems.

Can anyone confirm?

You've got it right... the Mbox 1 has been disconued and will never be offically supported in Win7 and beyond.
