My “old” HEAT license works with 2019.6 (“Vanilla”) – but I had to install the latest iLok License Manager, deactivate then reactivate the “old” HEAT license in iLok License Manager, then synchronize the HEAT iLok.

Therefore, the 30-DAY TRIAL should work for those using 2019.6 (“Vanilla”), who want HEAT today – if they follow the above steps in ILM.

Trial version are a great way to well trial something.... Personally I prefer not to install trial versions of anything, might be a throw back from my MS Windows days..... I think I’ll wait for a while and see what happens

You’d only be installing a HEAT Trial license on your iLok.

If you place the HEAT Trial on the same iLok as your 2019.6 license, you don’t have to deactivate/reactivate HEAT in iLok License Manager, then synchronize the HEAT iLok! Confirmation here how easy it is:

When the 30-DAY HEAT Trial license expires, left-click on it in iLok License Manager to highlight it, then right-click on it and choose “Hide” to move it to your Hidden licenses.

Has anybody ever managed to get a demo extension from Avid? I requested a Heat demo license a month ago when the news was announced, and it expires tomorrow, yet the sale/new policy still isn't effective In the last month I've used it on a LOT of mixes I'm going to need to recall, so I smell trouble
