somethign like release asio in background?

Hi

i am totally new to PT, i have PT 9 installed with a yamaha n12, inputs and everything work great but i get no sound out of PT and the master fader is greyed out?

in logic i have have sound

i use my n12 and event opals on the mac for things like itunes also and have no issue

is there something that now releases asio ? so i can run PT and the mac stuff??

Maybe go into the Setup>IO setup and click the output tab abd see if your outputs are available there. Learning how to work/modify the IO setup seems daunting at first, but you really need to master that section to get the most out of any interface. Don't feel bad, plenty of of 002/003/Mbox users take a long time to figure that bit out

all of my inputs and outputs show up fine in the I/O

there is no sound at all coming from PT 9 though. the master fader is greyed out?? it looks see thru. and when i select OUTPUT there is nothing listed??

there are busses listed but NO OUTPUT is what shows up for the master and then there is NO outputs showing up when i click on output

in the I/O ALL 16 outputs show up and are checked etc

so i have no sound coming out of PT

any help would be great
