Yes you have to update, but not necessarily to PT 9.... you can also update to PT 8.0.5 if you are running PT 8.0.4cs3

Yah, Thruthfully, for the most part at his time in our life we both make good money and so we kind of both have a "Don't ask, Don't tell" policy unless it involves gambling, cars, or other major purchases.

But what is funny, is when she goes out a spends half a paycheck on a bundle of clothes I am happy for her, when I get a hobby related item I certainly do not tell (it would be a one sided conversation and spoil my excitment... or an arguement) I get "oh, you bought another stupid guitar part", and I get the cold shoulder, not too bad, but that passive aggressive crap.

I think what in the hell is wrong with her????? then I realize she is a women, and logic is not present.

Regardless the Expansion pack is worth it, and she will never know. Like she is really going to think "that compression is really sweet, what the hell did he buy now.".

Yes, the Eleven SR is an excellent vocal reverb, as it was based off of Reverb One, one of the most popular Pro Tools reverbs. We tweaked it to much it much easier to use, added shorter and longer min/max decay times etc...

The Eleven SR along with the new Dyn3 Compressor, Parametric EQ and Dynamic Delay make for an outstanding channel strip for almost any mic'd recording (vox, strings, whatever). And remember, you can record the dry vocals along with the wet vocals, so you can monitor either one. Nice.
