sample rate grayed out on quick start page in Pro Tools 11

I posted the original message yesterday and got three replies (thanks).

I wanted to attach an image to my replies to the three people who responded but I think I have to start a new thread to have the option to attach an image.

What I got from the image: Your interface is set to an external clock - which is currently at 48 kHz. Therefore, you can only currently select 48 kHz. If you would like a different sample rate, you must change the external clock to the desired sample rate in order to select it.

If you're on Windows, make your onboard sound card the default for Windows sounds/audio and your Pro Tools interface for Pro Tools only. If that is already the case, as mesaone mentioned, close Pro Tools, change the clock rate on your interface either on the hardware or its software mixer, open Pro Tools and change the clock rate.
