Default Update from 9 to 11 worth it?

I've been running Pro Tools 9 since it came out on my Macbook Pro with my 003 Rack. I'm thinking maybe I should upgrade since Protools is now at version 11. Would I see any major improvements and would I still be able to use my 003? Any issues I should consider before making the jump or is it best to wait?
Thanks for reading.

Check with the developers of your plug-ins to verify that they have AAX2 (aka AAX64) versions. If not, then their plug-ins will not work with v11.

Default Re: Update from 9 to 11 worth it?

For me the transition was not worth it since the majority of my plug-ins are RTAS, from vendors who either don't exist any more or don't want to make new versions of their plug-ins.
Not to mention all the funky home brewn VST-plugins i'm using.
FXpansions, last time I asked doesn't seem to be bothered with AAX.
I'm glad I didn't upgrade both my V10 licences. Then I'd really be up #@%& creek.
I'm of course talking strictly economical, I love the new 64 bit Pro Tools.
Had I the cash I'd try to find new AAX-equivalents of my old plugs right away.
