Default Only 8 Outs/Ins Avid CoreAudio Manager

Hi everybody !

I have a mysterious problem ...

I did a lot of research on the web but found nothing ...

I have a PT HD3 harware system, with 3 Apogees DA 16x and 2 AD16x.

Everything works great on Protools HD10, but when I want to use an other DAW (Ableton Live or Logic) I have to launch Avid CoreAudio Manager, and it only found 8 outs and 8 Ins ... There is my problem ...

I think it comes from Protools hardware, by limiting the channels, but I am not sure about it ...

That's very frustrating !

Did someone got the same setup or the same issue ?

Thank you so much !

Max

This is the way it is. This is never going to change for TDM.

Thanks Chief for your answer !

That's so bad.. C'ant use my Euphonix CS2000 with more than 8 outs ....

I'm wondering if an external audio routing application, like soundflower or Rogue Amoeba Loopback could do the job !!? By creating a connection between those 2 apps ?

I try Ableton Live as Slave Rewire and PT as master, it's ok but can't use plugins in Ableton Live ...

Can't believe that there is no solution !!!

Thanks to all ! :)

This is a limitation of the core audio driver for TDM. It only presents eight channels to all other devices. Soundflower and Rogue Amoeba Loopback are highly unlikely to resolve this issue, as they will use the same core audio driver that Avid has provided.
