URS Saturation? http://www.ursplugins.com/ursSAT.html

Has anyone given this a try?

I tried the Mellowmuse SATV plug-in, it sounded great...but the demo just didn't cut it for me. Before I drop 100 bucks on this.. I really want to know what a full mixed track is gonna sound like with this on it. The constant volume out and in or whatever they did to keep people from stealing it...is really annoying. Just when I think I might be tweakin' it to my liking...it fades out and in and again...and I lose interest. Maybe I am being unreasonable, but I don't want to have to buy two different plug-ins because I couldn't get a good idea of what I was listening to in the first place..or spend the money twice when I could have bought a more expensive..possibly better one. I also would have liked a manual or something explaining where the modeled harmonics and distortion came from(some type of hardware specifically)...or maybe some basic presets that reproduce a certain type of sound that is to be expected when using certain devices that this plug-in supposedly is reproducing.

Tape Head by Massey was cool.. but the demo did not have a VST version. I would like a plug-in that has VST for WaveLab 7 and RTAS for mixing in Pro Tools 9.

Any word from AVID, if there is going to be a HEAT LE, or light version to purchase as a insert effect or send that we native users can enjoy. I really like the whole idea of getting back to warmth and complex layers of harmonic transits ITB.

P.S.>If there is someone out there, that has a mix with one of these plugs that I can hear..that would be awesome. Thanks!

>I use SATV at least somewhere on every session now.

Is it approved by AVID ? Is it working 100% ?

How much latency does it induce ?

Anyone give it a whirl? and anyone give it a whirl that is familiar with Heat?

Better instruments or voices, better mics & placement, better mic pres, better mixing/monitoring. Plugins are NOT the answer but simply another tool. Back to basics. Moving a mic 1/2" often gives you "that warmth". My 2 cents !!!
