Went yesterday to my music shop and a friend is upgrading from his Mix system to a HD2 rig. Had a long discussion with him about the power of LE+i7, but he claims that TDM plugs sound better
The dealer is preparing to equip new studio facilities with one HD and a 003 LE system.

So, from what I gather here, there must be at least some HD sales, but hardly any to the LE guys.

Just wanted to share this.

This is good. That should pay for a day of coding, every little bit helps.

EDIT: Did I miss the new 64bit W7 drivers? I bet they're all gone and I have to wait for a new batch.

HD is what the Synclavier was. When Yamaha introduced the DX 7 and Korg and Roland followed with there keyboards the Synclavier went away. The same thing with 2" tape machines. Pro Tools HD is no longer the only kid on the block. At the end of the day there are other ways to record great music. By the way, if I am listening to a CD I could not tell you if it where recorded on PT, Logic, Cubase or any other software. Let alone HD, LE, MBox, Apogee, ect...
It is all about the music, if it's good it's good!!!

I also know the outcome that includes a layoff. The 'bailout company' was very generous to me and I am thankful, but not quite as generous as they were to:
