GA-P35-DS3R, it has 3 PCI & 3 PCIe slots the GA-P45 boards also work fine...

I'm in the same place....
My old G4 867MHz is still running 7.4 and not complaining (as long as I don't use much RTAS). I would love to buy a new Mac pro but don't want to spend on a Magna box, unless I really have to.

Any update on if the card adaptor fits with the core card inside the computer and will it work with a HD2 system ?

regards
Scotsman

Has this died a death, or was no-one brave enough in the end

given that PCI-X cards are dropping from active development it's probably a mute idea

They haven't actually made that announcement. Yet.

With the dropping of the PPC G5s and the chassis I dont see them supporting the PCI versions of the cards forever unless they use exactly the same code as the PCIe ones. It might be in Digis best interest to sweeten the PCI to PCIe offer and shift everyone to modern cards.

I think if I had PCI cards I would be leaning towards the crossgrade.
