Default iLok problem please help!

Hi, ive purchased the Factory bundle and an iLok key. Ive created an iLok account, registered the Factory Bundle on the Digidesign website, but Im stumped as to how i tell me iLok key to authorise the bundled plugins.

I go to iLok.com and it says I have 0 licenses.

I go to Digidesign.com and cant find any way of sending a message to iLok to say I own the Factory Bundle.

I go to this page and it says you cant use the challenge/response (even though the iLok asks for it)

Can anyone help?


Man, what a convoluted process.

Scott,

Your online registration records show that you registered the Producer Factory, but you may have to activate it as well.
I'm not positive if this is the case with the Producer Factory boxed version or not, but if so, then you probably have a card with the activation code included in the box.

Some bundles (like the Music Production Toolkit) include 2 cards, one to register the product, and another to activate the licenses.

The activation card includes an Activation Code and instructions on how to go to the website to activate the licenses, either one of these links on the card:

After you enter your Activation Code and your iLok.com User ID, the 5 licenses in the Producer Factory will be deposited to your iLok account.

iLok Information:

If you have not already done so, you would create an iLok.com account yourself at iLok.com:
http://www.iLok.com

Once you create an account there, your iLok User ID is what you use to login to your account on iLok.com (not your login password, which you also choose)

Your iLok.com User ID is NOT printed on your iLok. You would choose your own iLok.com User ID and whatever password you want.

Hi, thanks for your detailed reply. I only received one card with the bundle, and there doesnt appear to be any activation code.

One interesting thing, when I initially registered the product on the Digi website, one of the fields asked for my iLok account name. Since i hadnt yet created that account (and the field was not a required field) I left it blank.

Ive logged into 'My Digi' and now I cannot see anyway at all to add my iLok account name. In fact, my profile makes no mention of the fact that i registered the Bundle at all.

I did receive a confirmation email with a confirmation code. I tried that, along with all the serial numbers etc on the card at the activation page; http://www.digidesign.com/index.cfm?navid=128

Still no luck.

Do you have any other suggestions?

It would seem I need to put my iLok account name into my Digi profile somewhere, there just doesnt seem to be anywhere to do it.

Oh gee.. this is embarrassing.... I just found the Activation card.


Im sure it will work now, thanks again for the assistance.
