Default journaling!!!please help

-everytime i go to make a new audio file
a window pops up and says "session must be on an audio record volume"
everything is hooked up right (firewire, mbox and all)
anyone know what i'm doing wrong or what needs to be done ?

i got a reply for this and this is what it said

"Disk utility, disable "journaling" for your firewiredisc. (journaling should be off...)In PT/show workspace, make sure the disc is sat to "R".
This is normal. Don't worry. "

now the thing is, is that i don't know where to go to access this "journaling so that i can change it .. i'm on a MAC
working on an mbox if that help with any answers

1.Open the 'Disk Utility', in Applications.

2.Highlight the Firewire disk in the left column

3.Click the Green button at the top of this window which should say 'Disable Journaling'

That's it.

Go to Applications - Utilities - Disk Utility.

With the session file you are working on,highlight it & 'Get Info' using Finder to see what kind of permissions you have with the file, it might be set to 'Read Only' which could be the problem you experience when creating new tracks/making general changes!?!

Journaling is not your problem.

Open Pro Tools. Go to Windows Menu -> Show Workspace

In the column just to the right of the hard drive you want to record to (it has an “A” at the top), click on the pop-up menu and change it to “R”.
