You might want to do a search on softsynths, sampler libraries and the like. There are at least two or three threads going on these subjects.

Default What would be the perfect (Plugin, Soft Synth, Soft Sampler Library)?

hi

what would be a well balanced library?

including the best soft synth and soft sampler
i would like to have just a MIDI Controller and the sounds and samples to come out of the plugins.

i wouldn't mind buying another CPU (MAC or PC)
to open my options in regards to have a kick ass sampler/soft synth library sound workstation.

i have a few in my list to get already:

~ Waves Platinum
~ Sony Oxford
~ Sony Inflator
~ Bomb Factory
~ Sound Replacer
~ Antares Autotune
~ Line 6 Echo Farm

any other must have plugins
any recommendations on samplers/softsynths?

let me know
thanks,
CJ

IMHO, Stylus and the newly available Atmosphere are must haves. Plenty of info/demos @ www.spectrasonics.net

The Trilogy bass thingy will be out by the end of December. I also have SSC, and the new virus Indigo. Kontakt is the new monster sampler from NI. You can also check out the TDM NI studio (pro-52/B4/Battery), which now is much more aggressively priced ($695 list).
