Default Re: Installing PT on New MacBook Pro

Unfortunately neither of your stuff, Fast Track Duo nor Pro Tools Express 10.3.4 does work with Mac OSX Yosemite.
Check it out there.

The latest Mac OS your version of Pro Tools would work with was 10.8., so you either would have to upgrade
your Pro Tools to version 11/12 or to build your Mac back to OSX Mountain Lion 10.8, 10.8.2 or 10.8.3.
Unfortunately there is no other way out.

All the best to you,

Default Re: Installing PT on New MacBook Pro

PS: if you would consider to build back your Mac to 10.8. you would need to check out first if your current Mac
computer can be used with 10.8 at all.
Find your model of Mac there and check out which was the Mac OSX your computer had been delivered with once.
http://www.everymac.com

It´s because you can´t use an OSX on a Mac prior to the one this particular Mac once came with.
For example, you can´t use Mountain Lion 10.8 on a Mac which originally came with Mavericks 10.9.
However you can use any later OSX with this Mac like Yosemite and any future OS.
So if you would consider to stay with Pro Tools Express and therefore you would need to install 10.8 on your Mac
to get it to work, you firstly would have to check out if it would be possible to install Mountain Lion 10.8 on your Mac.

If it would not be possible to use your current Mac with 10.8 anymore, you only could upgrade your Pro Tools Express
to Pro Tools 11/12. There will be no other option left unfortunately.

Anyway the best of success to you.
