Default Re: ReWire solution for Pro Tools + Reason

will it work with rebirth aswell by any chance.

I've been hoping the whole reason (no pun intended) rebirth has such a ropey 303 sound in the high and low octaves and the resonance doesn't go far enough for it to sound like a real one is because it's only outputing at 16bit 44.1Khz. If it sounded better at 24bit 48Khz, It might make it worth buying.

Not meaning to slate rebirth or anything but I currently just use the demo version, program it quickly, then record it into protools before it quits. It's simply not worth buying for the amount of times I'd be using it and the sound quality, I could deal with buying it to use occasionally if it actually sounded good enough.

Reason on the otherhand sounds okay to me apart from the cheesyness of the demo sounds. Will your application work with the demo versions of reason and rebirth for evaluation purposes or does it need the full versions of either ?

Thanks for finally finishing it by the way

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">reFuse does work with Rebirth, and the demo versions of both Reason and Rebirth seem to work just fine.

Officially, only Reason is supported, but I will be posting a demo so that people can check out other ReWire-compatible synths.

That looks very interesting...If the IAC buss can be used for tempo control (from Midi Clock outputted from PT), why is there a field for "tempo"?

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">Good question. There is a tempo field there to allow the user to set the tempo manually. reFuse has a tempo following algorithm that can be switched on. However, Midi Clock data is sometimes not so reliable, so I gave the user the option of direct control.

Default ReWire solution for Pro Tools + Reason

OK, I've held my breath about this for long enough. Coming soon from yours truly is a software utility to bridge Pro Tools and Reason.

For more info check the reFuse site.

Release date is July 10th, so just keep your pants on until then....

Thanks,
Leigh

Or, I mean the VST Bridge. If it`s what it sounds like, where can we get it and does it work with the PCI cards UAD-1 and Powercore?

Thanks
