Default Routing stand-alone MIDI sequencer into Pro Tools

How to do it?

I have a MIDI sequencer. When I press play, I want the MIDI to go into Pro Tools and trigger RTAS samples.

I did this in the old days with MIDI-Yoke (virtual MIDI cables). Is there a more elegant way to do it?

I tried to use all of my sequencer outputs, but nothing triggered my Pro Tools MIDI track.
- it's input was set to the one in the screenshot (the only one)
- it was record enabled

Is your sequencer hardware or software?

Software.

I used a virtual MIDI patch cable and it worked.

What have you assigned (on an Instrument track) to trigger the samples?
