Good idea. I'd vote for that!

+1 to that! I think visualization can really assist the ears, especially in the lower frequency range when mixing on smaller or unfamiliar monitors.

I wish CS had a 6dB/oct. slope on the high/low-cuts.
I find 12 and 24dB/oct. way too radical 90% of the time.

Otherwise I like it.

Since high and low-cut are the most used sections for me I really hope they are going to put in 6dB/oct. filters. The sooner the better.

One thing you can do, is set up the way you like the defaults to be, Q @ 2, Low Freq @ 120hz, etc. Save this as "Your Default", then set as "USer Default", then under Presets > Setting Preferences select the option for "Set Plug In Default to > User Setting"

Now when you start the plug, it will start with the controls the way you want them. Personally I do post prod work, so I like my channel strips to come up with a lil filtering on the low and high end, and a bit of lite compression. Now that I have the "JK Default" and the plug is set to use my defaults, it comes up the way I want every time.

100% agreed! I hate when guys say "oh music is about just using your ears, not your eyes". Well your ears can't always notice every single thing. And it's also A LOT quicker to first dial in on something with your eyes first to get into the general area of where you need to work, then use your ears to fine tune. Anyone who thinks sight is useless in audio is just ignorant, IMO!

Yes.

Many think that this is [bleep][bleep][bleep][bleep][bleep][bleep][bleep][bleep], but I agree with you. Think about great cooks for example. Blindfolded, they cannot taste almost anything. But then again, not many of us eat blindfolded in a restaurant. Visualization is important!

I agree with Dizzi... I was hopping, upgrading to PT10 that, GREAT, will save lots of processing, replacing 3 plugs per one.... even de-esser...

BUUUUUUUT: attack is toooo slow... terrible... impossible to use it on drums!!!

I like eqs and comps to color some channels... but I clean each channel with avid eq and dyn... they are transparent for me...

So, if I replace (on snares, per example: gate, eq, comp... or on vocals that I also include de-esser) this to just one plugin, I will have more free space for colorful stuff and tunning stuffs...

I like to let everything running in real time, until the end... usually I never "print" channels!
