Yes waved rtas runs really well with HDX. No dsp tho. FYI native plug ins run great under HDX. You can use HDX at 64 sample buffer and moving from the dsp mixer to a native plug in and back to the dsp mixer only takes on voice. In tdm this process took 2 voices.

Go for it

@Brandonx1 I'm curious, did you migrate from a TDM system to HDX? If so, are you opening sessions previously started on the TDM system and how many plug-ins are you using? What kind of computer are you using?

I find myself moving away from Waves, as they are reluctant to commit to AAX DSP. However they do adequately run as native RTAS in HDX.

That's the #1 problem right there. Waves and Sonnox not been able to release AAX DSP makes me a non-customer for those cards. For now, at least.

Me Too! Using less and less of the stuff. Never thought I'd say that.

Using the Izotope stuff a lot now and really like the new Ozone 5 as well as the Nectar PlugIn. I am sure thy are getting more things going and I meet some of them at NAB. Very savvy and willing to help out the users!! Did get some good deals on Waves when i got them, but really sound a bit harsh to my ears now compared to the Ozone 5 stuff for sure. G

I think Sonnox will be coming around very soon. Waves though, is not looking so good. The small amount of Waves that I now find essential, can run natively with only a small resource hit.

I would not give up the HDX card for Waves.
