File Size / session length effect on performance
I have been getting my chops on PT doing recordings of a band's rehersals. These sessions last about 2 hours, and I start stop between tunes. I have been getting remove plug in messages and tweeked as best I could using Hdwr and playback engine settings.
I am woundering if I should open new sessions at shorter intervals, say 20 minuets. PT 7.4.2 / Mac 10.5, 4 Gig ram, Duo Core processor, Digi 003R, MOTU 828 MkII |

Re: File Size / session length effect on performance
We're going to need a bit more info to help you.
What are the error numbers in the messages you're getting? Are you using plug-ins in the session? If so, which ones? You say you're on 10.5 - is that really just 10.5 or is it possibly 10.5.3 or 10.5.4? You're also posting in a Windows forum - I'm assuming that's a mistake? If so, I'll move this to the proper forum... If you're on a Mac, which model is it? |
