M-Audio Interface Compatibility on Newest Mac OS
I recently purchased a new Mac Mini running on OS 10.9.4, and am having quite a bit of difficulty getting Pro Tools 10 to recognize my Interface.
I am running an M-Audio Fast Track Ultra 8R interface, and have downloaded the latest driver from their page. Pro Tools 10 will not recognize the USB Interface in the software. In researching, I found the latest information from AVID about this particular interface and drivers: (version 2.3) Nov 20, 2013 Mac OS X 10.9 - 10.9.2 Mavericks support only Mac OS X 10.9 Requires Pro Tools 11.0.3 or higher Mac OS X 10.9.1 Requires Pro Tools 11.1.2 or higher (added 2/7/2014) Tested with Avid-qualified Apple computers I am curious whether there's a compatibility issue with Mac OS versions later than 10.9.2, or if I need to upgrade to Pro Tools 11.1.2 or higher. I had this same interface successfully in use with the same version of Pro Tools last week on a PC computer, but since transferring everything to the Mac it won't connect. At this point, I'm not sure if it's a Mac OS or Driver compatibility issue. Any advice? |
