Roland Octa-Capture crashes (PT 11 - Win 7 /64-bit )

Thank you for your email. At this time, the OCTA-CAPTURE will not function properly with PT11. However, Avid has identified the issue that causes the software to crash when the OCTA-CAPTURE is connected. Avid is currently working on a solution for this and we hope that the issue will be resolved very soon.

We will be happy to email you directly as soon as we receive any updated information from Avid regarding a PT11 update and/or a resolution to this.

Audio Drivers are made to serve an operating system, not the aplication. Nevertheless, there are software companies that will make both and offer better intergation compared to drivers that work according to a standard (VST/MME/CORE etc....)

When Roland Makes drivers to serve these operating systems, we do our utmost to follow up on every issue, update, check and post new ones as soon as possible. Please check on our support page if there is a new driver for your device. We just released new drivers so I suggest you check these and let me know how these work for you.

"This is a bug of Pro Tools, not the card. In this case you should contact with Avid and ask because your device is compatible with ASIO,Core drivers, and has been able to use it in other versions on your system, does not work with the version of Pro Tools concrete, when the card has not changed either the firmware or the driver."

Maybe the holdup is that they're discussing whose responsibility it is to fix it. Either way, this should be highly prioritized by Avid.

It was my understanding that the Roland Capture series works fine on Max OS. And that the bug was with Protools 11 on the Windows side.

Is that not the case?
