This is [bleep][bleep][bleep][bleep]ing ridiculous! There isn't much else we can do either, apart from buy new interfaces, but why should we waste money when it was not our decision to make a new product! Support from both AVID and Roland has been appalling!

The bug is in the queue and is being looked at. It may not progress at the speed you want it to, but it will get resolved as soon as it can.

Anyway, can you guys seeing the crash send me a trace log? Launch PT and a log will be written in the following location after the crash.

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Avid\Logs\

It's not really about the speed, but more about leaving us in the dark without any word. This only reply is enough to reassure me that we are not left alone and unheard.

Thank you Bharath.

Crash logs sent to Bharath by PM. Anyone heard anything from Roland?

Thanks. The crash log matches a reproducible case we have. So we will keep investigating. (FWIW, this is a tricky one and happens way deep inside the new engine, far away from any direct device level interaction). We are first trying to understand why only Octa-Capture/Studio Capture is showing it.

We are in touch with Roland, but at this point the investigation is still with us.

I am glad we have an update on this now, it is nice to know the ball is rolling (even though it seems it is going very slowly). However, I don't mind how long it takes as long as we know where we stand with it all.

...and Quad Capture.

How do I attach the log file to send via PM?
The file that I can find is a .dlog file, is this the correct one?.

Got a nice phone call from Roland yesterday and it looks like progress is being made. Roland and Avid are talking to each other and seem to be cautiously optimistic that they have isolated the problem.

No ETA yet, but hopefully "soon".

More when I hear more...
