Default Timecode audio file synchronization

Hi,
The scenario is like that - I have a video file which has a timecode in it so I can just spot it to a relevant position (no sound in it). I have 2 audio files (one with a dialog, second with the timecode but being audio and the timecode is what I want to read from that file) to accompany that video which are longer (but they both are of the same length) so I can't just start all of the 3 files to have them in sync. As I mentioned, one of the audio files are just timecode which is the correct timecode for the video file. Is there a way to place the file in timeline with the correct timecode which is printed in the audio? Then I could just place the second audio file in sync with the audio timecode file.

Ok, I've found an app suitable to do it - LTConvert. I've got a problem with it however - after converting a file (ie printing a new timecode into it) the old timecode shows up in Pro Tools. When I open the converted file back in LTConvert the timecode is the new one (unfortunatelly iMediaHUD doesn't work on a silicon Mac so I can't check its data the old way)

Hi I found out the same issue. But when checking the file in LTC convert, you can read the new TC, so you can manually place the file in the ProTools timeline.

Sounds like your location crew need to rethink their setup. People are still recording LTC to audio tracks these days? If the original picture has TC why can't they just jam sync the audio recorder? Instead they chose to give you a hard time syncing all that up? Should they not do that in the cutting room and just give you an AAF since there's only one audio track anyway?

Maybe this helps? https://tentaclesync.com/sync-studio

In case of so many Tc files. I would ask an editor with Media Composer to batch convert these files, reading the aux tc and convert it into the wav’s metadata.
