Default WHITE noise burst new thred DIGI

HOLLY Efing Crap guys! I have spent all this time (6 DAYS) and killed all 6103's - And this is great BUT!!
ALL TO JUST BE PLAGUED now with this out of the blue WHITE noise in the middle of a session. My client just split with a Efed up feeling in his tone and manner, as we had to re boot three times in two hours from this White Noise.. This is crazy! I DON'T HAVE THIS issue ever with PT 8.0CS3 or - Sonar, Cakewalk Ala Nuendo, alA all others. My clocks are solid and stable in this room. WTF?

Now it looks as though I have to still go back to CS3. And after all this hard work to get the 6031's eradicated. OMFG...!!!! I am so perplexed as to why Digi just does not work all the bugs out in ONE AP and stop at that for a bit..

Just freaking fix all the issues in one VERSION and don't ad nothing else,,,
Or take some AP functions back out if need be, BUT for Gosh sakes just fix and release a stable AP for US HD users. Let the first CS paks go to the LE users. Us HD guys are the ones Digi need in cash flow and in Production rooms. For Gods Sake Digi!

Fix this darn White noise that has never been here in this room ever. ever!

What gives?!

Yes, forget everyone else since i spent more money.
I agree that must suck and you're fed up with that but thats just wrong. People who use LE or anything other than HD is probably because they can't afford the ridiculousness of it. Is that even a word?? If I was to go HD and become part of the "industry standard" I would have gone Mac. And I hate Mac. Just my opinion. Or atleast hang on to an earlier version of PT.

Yea yea Im sorry man, its just if the beta testers have to be in the field it would be the NON HD users.

I know that sucks IF IT WAS THE CASE. But really even as you are a LE user could you say it should be otherwise?

Frankly it should be nether!

I have 15k into a white noise generator

Oh by far that really sucks big time. I'm sorry too I know if i spent that much on a system i would be pissed off too. I'm actually the M-Powered user and I get pissed off when they have all these add-ons and toolkits for LE and HD only. What gives? I wouldn't think twice about buying the complete toolkit ($1600 i think) for M-Powered if it was available. I mean LE and MP is pretty much exactly the damn same! I just like the M-Audio interfaces, pres, and converters better than the digi ones. They make you sacrifice something somewhere. And then to think you spend all that money on an HD system, the one they want you to spend your money on, it doesn't work properly? Yea, I would be pissed.

how is digi supposed to fix the fact that your computer does not work with pro tools? Seems like you should just get a supported config and stop the angry posts!

This is a result of his frustration and a whole lot of other people, myself included that have experienced this with HD, LE, M-Powered on AMD, Intel processors using 8.0.1, 8.0.3, and 8.0.3cs1, and this is also posted after a lengthy thread discussing this issue, The biggest problem with this is people can't understand how much frustration not knowing how many people it affects because there are SEVERAL threads about it but none with the same problem in the title.

I've had it happen with alot of different configurations, It is frustrating.

I don't believe he is bashing le or m-powered users directly.

I've been playing with this (8.0.4b) for a while and talked about the remedies for me on the other thread. But... here's what i don't get. Why isn't everyone Installing a stable XP drive with a stable version of PT like 7.3.1 or even 7.4 for those moments when all else fails. A quick trip to the bios and you’re back. I’m sure I must be missing something, I just can't figure out what. I'm not trying offend anyone here but I really don't see the calamity.

One day y'all will realize the power OF JUST KEEPING 1 THREAD GOING & I didn't notice that u were being prejudice on the other thread u posted this in but what Shatzer pointed out is a very valid point; I along with others have both Platforms & as of now to me as well as others HD is garbage(Expensive Garbage @ that) I only use my LE rig & have much work to back up that it is just as "Industry Standard" as the GD, I mean HD

We're following up directly with the OP to investigate this, but one thing I feel I MUST point out is that they are on an unsupported and untested computer configuration.

This is another emphasis on why it's important to use a supported and tested config, especially with HD - there are just far, far too many different hardware and software components that can have an effect on Pro Tools, especially when using HD cards. LE is a little more forgiving in that respect - HD, not so much.

Thanks Digi,

This is good to know and have a definite confirmation of.
Especially since I am about to get a new computer and will definitely go with your recommendations and am going to get the HP Z800 Workstation.

Thanks

GD
