connecting MIDI keyboard controller in PT

Hi guys,

I'm a newbie here, so please advise. I'm having difficulty figuring out how to connect a MIDI keyboard I have to Pro Tools. I have it running through a MOTU MIDI Express 128 8x8 MIDI interface, I have it coming in on port 4 and out on port 4. The MIDI express hooks up via USB and is working fine. I know this because I use mackie HUIs through ports 1-3 and they work fine. I just can't figure out where in pro tools I have to configure the settings in order for me to be able to control, say, virtual instruments I have with the keyboard. can somebody instruct me? thanks.

I have the M-Audio Radium 61 and I just hook it up to the pc via usb, install the drivers, and run any external instruments like my Korg MS2000R thru the keyboard controller and PT works fine. If you have the drivers installed you shouldn't have to hook up any actual MIDI cables to PT. Once you have a session open and have created a MIDI track, PT recognizes your controller and will list it as one of the available options for a controller on that particular MIDI track.
