MacBook Pro M2 Max 12-Core 30 GPU or MBP M3 Pro?

There is a video on You Tube where they compare m1 vs m2 vs m3 for use with different daws including pro tools. Shockingly the winner was:

M1>m2>m3. It has to do with optimization for they types of cores per daw.

As I've pointed out in one of the other threads (or earlier in this one) - this is a specific problem with the Pro chips, not the base or Max or Ultra.

Here is a benchmark screen shot of the m1 ultra chip vs m3 max:

At the moment, the m1 ultra chip might be a better bang for the buck than the m3 max. There is no m3 ultra chip at the moment but may be coming soon. Keep in mind that currently, pt will only access the performance chips.

It is faster than the M1 Ultra and by a considerable amount in terms of CPU.
It is approaching double the speed of the 2021 M1 Max that it replaced.
