Midi latency with dante setup

Hi there,

I'm using PT on my Laptop connected to a Focusrite RED NET 5 Interface via Dante. With that configuration I experience a tremendous latency working with Midi even when sample buffer size is set to 64 samples. If I use the same session with my MacBook speaker output, latency is normal and fine.
My question: Does anybody experience similar phenomenons with Dante or RED NET 5? I would like to locate the problem without buying another interface/connection and finding out that the problem is located somewhere else.

Hi Matthias,

Are you using the Dante Virtual Soundcard to connect your laptop to the Rednet interface?

If so, Dante Virtual Soundcard has a relatively high latency, compared to connecting directly to a dedicated device. What kind of latency figures are you seeing in ms?
