Re: Considering a Saffire 56. Opinions wanted
Confirmed. The PF610 does support headphone monitoring in stand-alone mode, but obviously, you need to have the line-lump power supply plugged in to do anything in stand-alone...

Re: Considering a Saffire 56. Opinions wanted
Anyone know if this unit will get down to a H/W Buffer size of 32 samples?
Or is 64 the lowest?

Re: Considering a Saffire 56. Opinions wanted
Are you asking about the Focusrite Liquid Saffire 56? (this thread has wandered lately). If so, I can not get to 32 samples. 64 is the lowest I get.

Re: Considering a Saffire 56. Opinions wanted
This is interesting as Mac users can get 32 using either 002 or 003 interface. Would be good to hear what PC users get for lowest buffer(since O.D. runs a Mac)

Re: Considering a Saffire 56. Opinions wanted
A bit OT, but RME's UC and Babyface must be using USB-2 Isosynchronous Mode. Occasionally a USB hub may revert back to USB 1.1 and then 2.0 is unavailable. So a lot depends on the manufacturer of the USB hub or the drivers for the hub. RME keeps hinting it is the OS itself, so who knows...
Those figures from RME must be 'best case scenario'. Generally I have been avoiding mixing the rear USB hubs, keeping 1.1 devices together and not mixing protocols. |

Re: Considering a Saffire 56. Opinions wanted
Here's a link to the Focusrite Beta public site for anybody who is interested. Quite a few new betas of mix control, drivers and the RTAS plug. I was wondering where that was, couldn't find it anywhere on their main site.
