artist mix + digital performer = meters problem

I'm using DP9 and artist mix.
The artist mix doesn't show meters, is that normal?

That list is what Avid supports and tests, it doesn't mean other DAW's wont work but if there are issues you should contact them.

shows that the Artist Mix is compatible with DP.

Qualified by Avid vs Compatible hence needing to contact Dp if there's an issue.

And they'll send one right back to Avid. Would be great if Avid didn't put up conflicting/confusing info on it's pages. Qualified & compatible kind of go hand-in-hand don't they? They both give the impression that this will work with DP.

The list of 3rd parties is quite long so it would be impossible for Avid to test these each release. Maybe we should make a list of all EUCON Apps and mark which are supported by Avid and which are supported by the 3rd party ?

That would be a good thing to do. Like I said - between the two pages linked to it's confusing as to what the story really is.

The problem becomes when you have one party saying it's the other's fault and vice versa. Been through that with TC Electronics and the Powercore and Access with the Virus plugin - each threw shade at the other for problems. And as it turns out each was at fault.

With the number of other EUCON apps its quite easy to see where the problem lies, for instance all other DAW's meters work, so its very likely DP is at fault here. BUT Avid are always here to help 3rds with issues as it benefits us all. We are currently talking to Apple, Steinberg and Magix for instance this week.

There's nothing on the page I linked to that says anything about meters not working in DP. Just the op and if one goes and assumes what Avid says on that page you would believe there should be no problem with metering. That's part of what I'm getting at that Avid puts out info that's not the full story and that can and does lead people astray.
