Default Tiger TDM Users Please read and advise

Hello Tiger users I've got a bit of a debate going on I need to fully reinstall the OS my mobile HD2 rig and am wondering how stable is Tiger ?

My system

DP 1 gig G4 mirrored door 1gig ram

HD 2

3 192's

Useage

Recording only of concerts 24 bit 44.1 or 48k depending on client

Max tracks at once 50

Max show length 3.5hours

Occasional use of sync i/o to either lock or generate code use vid ref etc if camera's involved.

No RTAS or software instruments needed or ran

minimal TDM plug in use as well.

As I said basically it's a very lean tracking rig

Any advice from users running long sessions shows would be very much appreciated.

Thanks

That is the CPU system I have. Tiger is fine - but I would advise maxxing out the ram - 2GB - I had to buy 3 x 512's. Cost me about $130. Also - turn off all the widgets. That helps a lot. Another thing when migrating is to copy your new permissions to all volumes (Get info and change permissions if needed). If the permissions are wrong if it won't record and you can't save. The migrationt did not take care of that for me.

Check that your pointing device (mouse, trackball etc) or any vital peripherals has Tiger compatible drivers.

I had problems with MS Intellipoint 5.1 software to drive my Microsoft optical mouse and I had to completely uninstall it and re-install 5.0 so as to get a smooth operation.
Apart from that eveything seems ok... for now

HD3 in SBS chassis (13 slots, although not in compatibility list, but works) hooked on blue G4 450 with 1.2GHz Sonnet CPU, Atto PCI-DC SCSI card and ATI radeon video adapter
