Default PT 12.7 Not Available in Application Manager

I just acquired PT 12.3 and immediately tried to upgrade to 12.7 since I'm running Sierra. I was able to upgrade to 12.5, but 12.7 is not showing as an available upgrade under my account.

I have a perpetual license for PT 12.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Thanks....

Yes, I did check my Avid account and that's where I thought I would see the 12.7 update option.

I have the latest iLok Software. It shows that I have "Pro Tools 10/11/12".

You need to be on a current plan to have access to the latest version.

A perpetual license entitles you to what was current when your plan lapsed.

This is Avid's business model.

Thank you for your response.

My activation card reads...

"Pro Tools with Annual Upgrade and Support Plan"

So I would assume that would get me any upgrade for a year. I was at Pro Tools 10 until I acquired this. Am I wrong? Pardon my ignorance as I'm just getting back into this. I had no "plan" with Pro Tools 10 as I got that back in 2012. I just wanted to upgrade to PT12 and get the compatibility with Sierra. So what did I do wrong?

Thanks for your patience with me....

What Drew said.

You cannot download any new versions that became available beyond your active plan ending date.

You are entitled to any included version that was available to you during the time your plan was active.

Acquired what? If you've not given Avid any money since 2012, you're definitely not on plan. If you've got 10, and want to be able to use 12 with Sierra, then you'll need to do a "reinstatement".

See this page.

I figured it out...

Here's the recap....

- I BOUGHT PT 10 Student/Education license back in 2012.
- I BOUGHT a PT12 Student/Education upgrade last week.
- I registered my new PT12 which also required me to complete a student/education license requirements form.
- I received an email back from Avid after the form was sent that I qualified for the Student/Education license AND that email ALSO INCLUDED A NEW ACTIVATION CODE. I did not read the email as carefully as I should have and missed the new code.
- I re-activated my new PT12 license with the new code and I'm now running PT12.7.1 as I had planned.
- Life is very good now...

Moral of the story...read my email more carefully!

Thanks for helping me seek out the answer. Great forum and quick responses!
