Hi Steve,
Is that the avid keyboard tray holding your apple keyboard on your s6 or is your keyboard just sitting on the bolster?

Hi Brandon,

It's just sitting on the bolster, and it works just fine actually. I have seen the sliding keyboard tray in at my dealers showroom and I did not think it was worth the money. The bolster works great for my needs.

Hi all,

Just to clarify some things in this thread,but hopefully NOT hijack it

The S6 I work on also has these "Whimpy" buttons and if you are using the configuration where your automation module is below the MTM one thing I have found is that your elbow, resting presumably on the bolster, will hit all of your transport controls when you are using the touchscreen and can become quite annoying.

Maybe the revised buttons are more resistant to accidental depression?

The keyboard tray that is supposed to slide along the bolster has steal "feet" which make it impossible to slide along the rubbery feel bolster unless the tray is lifted up and moved and IDK about you but if i have to lift the keyboard anyways then the purpose of the tray is meaningless.

I was thinking about sticking some polyurethane/Teflon strips on the feet in hopes of getting it to slide.

@Stereo Missile
I couldn't agree more about the need to create sends off of the control surface itself, Our config is set up in such a way that our sends feed a hearback unit to control monitoring in the advent the console assumes the tracking role for that particular session and this would just make life so much simpler.

the need to instantiate plugins from the surface is also quite apparent.

Just briefly did I try expanding a VI over the control surface but even the "Stock" Xpand2 plugin only gives me a volume controls so its probably in the works for future updates.

Cheers
