Hello, I've been using my good old Exabyte 8505 (8mm 6 gigs+ per tape) sytem for the past 4 to 5 years. Yet it looks like it is about to die on my again, What is everybody else using these days to back up the days work to?? I use Dantz, Retrospect 4x and love the scripting and ease of use all around. What are you folks backing up to?

Hi Victor,
I'm using dantz 4.2 with a Seagate DDS2 4mm dat drive.About 4 gigs a tape.
I like it , but it's slow.

I have narrowed my sights on the Ecrix VXA tape drive.

33/66 gigs 6mbs Single Ended SCSI or LVD. There is also a Retrospect Bundle (Desktop for Mac OS)

Ecix has a free trial offer for DAW folks, with a 1/2 price back back offer after the end of the 30 days.

If these things perform as well as they look, this is the answer. Check my post over in info. One user has reported back re his 'test drive'...
