true stereo vs dual mono
can someone explain the difference between a true stereo and dual mono track. I don't understand the difference.

The mono tracks gives you the option to manipulate the tracks individually, the stereo track dont. (There are of course plugins that can affect left and right individually, but the track has just one fader and has the plugin on both channels always.)
Another thing: If you use aux tracks with reverb, being fed by a bus, there is a big difference in selecting a plugin as a "stereo" or "dual mono". The latter responds to panning of the send (the reverb follows the pan), and the other doesnt.
