I just bought and installed PT 11.1.1 and finally found this discussion to get a little closer to issues I'm having. None of suggestions here work for me because digiSPTIservice64.exe isn't starting properly. It does show up in task manager but it clearly fails to run properly. Windows reports that service is starting and after a few minutes give me an Error 1053 "The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion". See attached screens for more info. I desperately need help to be able to start using PT 11, at this point it is impossible to work with it, need to fall back to 10 . Spent a few evenings already and went through all tweaks suggested here.

I don't get what you are saying. This sounds like a well known problem that is solved by disabling the floppy drive (even if you don't really have one) in the BIOS and/or Windows device manager. Which has solved problems caused by that for every other user I am aware of who ran into this. So what are you saying? Doing both of those things did not work for you?

I did all the tweaks suggested here. Just to be sure I will go again through all possible BIOS or UEFI settings in my case (X79 Dark mobo) to make sure I didn't miss anything. Will report my experience.
