Found 2 new boxes that look pretty cool for getting that extra 8 channels of I\O via lightpipe. Has anybody used or hear about these, please spread the word if you have..

TerraTec Mic 2& Mic 8-

I\O boxes with pci cards, but can be used in standalone mode sending 8 channels of ADAT lightpipe. Look interesting, could be very versitile. About 800$ wich puts it in the Digimax range, but you can use it as I\O for other DAW's or apps.

And a new converter box by ST Audio. Has 8 ADC's and 2 pres, with a lightpipe out. 24\96 and cheaper than the AI3. Made by Hoontech looks like. About 350$ Right in there with the AI3.

Looked more, and found some more info.

Adam 24 is had 24 bit dac's. I suppose thats at 48khz.

Also, its MSRP is 299$. That means that musicians friends latest cataloge is outright lying when it states that the list is 499$ and there price is $329.99.

but what did I expect. I never order from them anymore, too many rediculous stories...
