Avid - please fix core audio application!!!

This is my third request. The Avid CoreAudio Manager (ver 10.1.3.53) application crashes under Mac Lion 10.7.3. I can't run my other Core Audio apps through my Digi003.

Please fix this. It ran fine before I installed ProTools update 10.1.3.

It may be user-dependent, as I'm not having problems with my mBox running audio for Pro Tools, Logic, Peak, Live, iTunes, etc.

Edit: works on everything but Pro Tools; for some reason can't get pro tools to launch. Keeps crashing before the opening screen fully loads.

Same here, too. Running a MBP with OS10.6.8 for Logic & PT9native with a M-Audio ProFire Lightbridge every day 12 hours. No problems.
Maybe it's a Lion only problem ?

I had same issue. I had lots of headache and heartbreak.

I purchased a new interface, problem solved. In fact, I like my new woman better!

I didn't know what I was missing, until I bought my new interface!
I'm glad, I did it. I'm a proud owner of a RME Fireface Ufx.

Same issue here. Worked fine yesterday. Updated to 10.1.3 and CRASH

I just updated from PT 10.0.1 to 10.1.2. Now when I try to use the CoreAudio manager in third party apps like Firefox or iTunes, it quits and freezes the program. Is this a known problem? Is there a work around? Or. . .can I reinstall 10.0.1 over 10.1.2 or do I need to uninstall PT first?

For about the same price the UA Apollo this incredible, got hear this interface, my thinking is when I get my new APOLLO will I be able to use my 003 console as a controller only?
here are real user using this awesome box, someone also opened up the box and have pics with spec that puts it up there with the best convertors.

DACx2 (Headphones) AK4480

ADCx2 (Ins 1-4 - Preamps, line in and Instrument on 1-4 shared) AKM AK5388EQ (Quad AD)

Preamps x4 - PGA2500 like Prism, Apogee and RME

Nothing really compromised on the component side. Much better than I expected actually. Absolutely high end in every way....at least as high end as the Orpheus or Lynx are concerned...

003 cannot be used as a "controller only," nor can it be used as an aggregate I/O in protools 9 >. The only way to use your 003 and apollo is to continue to use the 003 as your main interface and connect to Apollo via ADAT. This limits the Apollo to 8 channles of 48K(Max) I/O. To use the maximum featurs of the Apollo you will have to remove the 003 from the chain. AVID wants you to dump the 003 and use the Artist controllers, or better...

I, too, am having the exact same problems since updating to 10.1.2. I also tried the 10.1.3 update in the hope that this problem would be addressed but it is the same. Avid CoreAudio Manager is CRASHING ALL THE TIME!!!

Nothing has changed in my system, plugins, cables or any other third party or peripheral possibility. The only thing that has changed is the Pro Tools update.

Tech support please follow up on this issue. I depend on Pro Tools to do my job and right now it has become impossible.
