Default This is new.... TWO low latency options??

I tried searching the forum to no avail... but here is my issue:

I recently had an initialization error after uninstalling tl every phase plugin and had to uninstall and reinstall protools 6.4... after the reinstall i now have two low latency options and i can't activate either of them!!

athlon xp3200,a7v600,512mb, windows xp pro, cs5 and cs6 installed...

HELP i have a session planned for tonight

well... i think i fixed it myself... we'll see if the problem returns...

for some reason it let me click low latency before i opened a session, and it kept it activated... whew!

This is a known issue when changing the spdif from rca to optical and should clear up if you close PT and reboot.

ok, thanks.... initially i tried rebooting and it didn't help, but the problem seemed to have gotten fixed after clicking it without a session open...

Hi!
As Albee mentioned, it is a known issue.

While Digi only described a single method/circumstance under which this occurs, I found this to be the actual circumstance:
Changing ANY setting that would affect the S/P-DIF option will render several options/items in the Operations menu either disabled or not alterable/changeable.
Changing from 44.1/48 to 88.2/96 alters that setting, so if one opens a 44.1 or 48 session initially, and then opens an 88.2 or 96 session later, this behaviour will occur.
There are other circumstances one can incur this same behaviour.
