Can’t hear MacBook through headphones

Hello, first post here and I’m very sorry if this is deemed a dumb question but not sure where to turn. I just got the eleven rack, works fantastic love the sounds but should I be able to hear music in iTunes through the headphone out on the elevenrack or do I need a small mixer?

Are you able to hear music in iTunes through monitors connected to eleven rack?

Make sure your headphone output is not muted.

I dont have regular monitors hooked up, I am only using the headphone out on the eleven rack unit. The headphones work fine, wondering if the usb from macbook to elevenrack is strictly for control or does it pass audio from the mac to the unit as well.

Does the Eleven Rack editor work on your system?

im pretty sure I have all the most updated drivers installed, and yes the editor works fine on my mac, thanks!

Obvious question - do you have the sound output in system preferences set to your Eleven Rack?

Yes I have set the output to the eleven rack,

The Eleven Rack has multiple volume levels that affect things, including a head phone volume. You should read about all those in the Eleven Rack User Guide. This is a common reason for folks not hearing stuff in headphones.

On the Eleven Rack Front Panel if you scroll the display to the far right when looking at the Rig View you will see the level meters, they are very useful for seeing what is happening with input and output signals. If you can’t find those then again, the User Guide will help you.

Still stuck, then clear info needed... computer and OS version, driver version, Screenshots of relevant computer audio setting panels, description of headphone and master volume, descriptions of what you see the Eleven Rack meters doing etc.
