I have VUMT Duo, but I usually opt for bx-meter. It's got a cool dynamics meter, as well as, peak and RMS with multiple options.. a few different K-Meters and a bunch of other helpful ones. Like I was saying earlier, I need to read the manual and learn how to take advantage of those options. I'm familiar with the broad strokes, but need a deeper understanding.

What meter settings do you all use? Thanks.
Playing it safe with your metering isn't a bad idea, but levels don't have to increase with plugins that have an output control. You can gain-stage each plugin's input and output one by one through the chain so you don't get unwanted level boosts.
