To make a long story short - this isn't something that can be 'patched'. It's a long-term engine recoding that's in the works and has been for a while now. Until that recoding is done, the workaround will need to be used for certain plug-ins. In 6+ years of working here, there have been very few people who 'can't work' because of this. With the processing power available today, it's even less troublesome.
A vast majority of plug-ins have demo versions, which is why it's important to test them out before purchase.

I can understand the coding process as I am a programmer and mentioning the RTAS Engine's development just got my attention. Unfortunately, there was very few workaround in my situation. 'Can't work' was exaggeration I give it to you. I'm not living of music but for the very little time that 'I work' with Pro Tools I 'can't get fun' with so much troubles but that's another thread. SO, it was just interesting, good to know and I was basically looking for more info.
Peace!
