Mbox2 Pro no sound

Not sure what is going on but I have no sound from my mbox 2 pro. I have used it many times with no problems, so I don't think it's user error...but could be...looking for help with any new known issues as of June 2010

this is my travel rig, I use PT every day in my studio, but now I am on the road and suddenly I cannot monitor PT with headphones

I am running PT 7.1.3 on my macbook pro with 10.4.11

My sessions and tracks are on an external drive

I see output going to the main outputs, I can also see input

I am using the headphones outputs on the interface (the headphones work if I use them to monitor itunes with the computer output...pt not running of course)

I am not using the power supply, never have

I am sure nothing is muted

So....Pro tools is running fine, but I just can't hear it....I am actually suspecting damage to the mbox in transit

Any ideas would be helpful....I have read a lot of the threads tonight, but so far am not seeing anything directly addressing my problem

does the mbox power light blinks ? (the upper left orange light)

if yes - power off computer

unplug ALL firewire cables
reconnect
power on

pray..

also check the speaker icon on the upper side of the desktop

it should be grayed out if computer recognize MBOX 2 pro

if u can play with its volume-mbox was not recognized

I used to have this problem when I used my Mbox 2 Pro on my pc. Back then the only thing to do was to quit PT, pull the FW plug and plug it back in and hope it worked again. Most of the time it did. Nothing seemed to be out of order, except for the silence.

No problems with this after switching to Mac, though.
